In 1925, Segundina Cornejo Vizcarra opened her Taller de Bordados de Mano (hand-embroidery studio) in Manila, Philippines, offering elegant, hand-embroidered products. S.C.Vizcarra was a pioneer in exquisite hand-made, needlework. Her atelier provided elegant trousseaus for Manila’s elite up until the 1980s.
Segundina’s daughter, Vicky Vizcarra Amalingan-Sales, continues the family tradition of producing finely crafted, hand-made objects under S.C.Vizcarra.

In 2010, Segundina’s granddaughter, Rita Nazareno, created a new, contemporary line under the S.C.Vizcarra banner, called ZACARIAS1925 by S.C.Vizcarra, named for her sculptor grandfather.
S.C.Vizcarra pieces are proudly hand-woven by our artisans in the Philippines.
